The met trailer
Forty seconds on how “we must meet up sometime” turns into a plan for today.
What you will see
- “Musimy się kiedyś spotkać.” (“We must meet up sometime.”) The sentence lands word by word, then stands in full on stripes of black, cream and terracotta.
- The word “kiedyś” (“sometime”) repeats row after row and runs off into the depth of the frame. There is no end in sight.
- Then a single word on a cream background: “Dziś” (“Today”), with a terracotta full stop.
- A map of Warsaw with the Vistula. A pin drops and a plan card appears above it: a flame and the time 19:00.
- The view pulls back and friends appear on the map. Their routes converge on the pin, and three people join the plan card.
- The stone slides from “Jestem out” to “Jestem in” (I’m out, I’m in). Terracotta floods the screen and the words change to “Jesteśmy in” (“We’re in”).
- The stone grows and becomes the centre of a dial with the app’s sections. The dial turns: Plans, Events, Trips, Friends, each section in its own colour. Then it spins faster and faster.
- Finally, three shapes in the met colours circle in orbits and come together into a ring, the met mark. Next to it, letter by letter, the word “met” appears.
met in short
met is an iPhone app for meeting up with friends in real life. You drop a plan, your friends see it straight away, and whoever’s up for it slides the stone to “I’m in”. We are starting in Warsaw.
